Motorola Edge 20 picks up stable Android 12 update

Motorola has officially started rolling out the awaited Android 12 update to Edge 20. The software update can be identified by the firmware version S1RG32.53-18-11. For now, it is available in Brazil to the XT2143-1-DS variant of the Motorola Edge 20.

Motorola has not been pretty fast as compared to brands like Google and Samsung when it comes to rolling out software updates. It started rolling out the Android 12 update in February with the Moto G Pro. Last month, Moto G30 joined the party. And now, Moto Edge 20 has also started picking up the latest version of Android.

Back to the topic, the latest update for Motorola Edge 20 has just gone official, and Brazil is the first to receive it. Hopefully, it will not take much longer to cover more regions. However, keep an eye on your phone as the update may arrive anytime soon.

Motorola Edge 20 Android 12 features

There’s a lot to explore for Motorola Edge 20 after installing the Android 12 update. Probably, you’ll find the Material You design as the most exciting feature as it changes the color of nearly all elements by changing a wallpaper. You get a Privacy Dashboard to look at what permissions are given to which applications.

The list of new features also includes a revamped notification panel, scrolling screenshots, improved widgets, and more. On top of Android 12 features, Motorola has added features from its My UX custom skin.
