Both, Nokia 3.1 and Nokia 5.1 launched with Android Oreo 8.1 and now the devices are receiving their second major OS update in terms of Android 10. The latest update also includes September 2020 security patch which makes your device more secure.
As per the company, the update will be rolled out in a phased manner. Initially, the first 10% of users will receive the Android 10 update on a random basis and expanding to more users in the following days. The initial wave of Android 10 update will start in the following countries.

The Android 10 update for Nokia 3.1 comes with build number V4.160 and weighs 1.3GB in size.
Recently, HMD Global released the Android 11 update timeline for its eligible devices and Nokia 3.1, Nokia 5.1 are not there in the list. This is because the Android 10 update is the second major OS update for both the phones and hence becomes in-eligible for any further OS updates.
