Nokia mid-range devices are very popular among buyers due to brand trust and regular software updates. Nokia has started rolling out the latest December 2019 security patch update to Nokia 8.1. The device has already been updated to official Android 10 this October. The device has also received the November patch just a few days ago.
HMD Global which owns Nokia is one of those companies which offers great after-sale service. The company has been updating its devices to the latest security patch updates with very bug fixes regularly.
This current December update is very small. It is being rolled out in some regions and as an OTA. The OTA weighs in around a mere 7 MB in size. The new update is rolling out in a phase-wise manner. So it may take a few days to available all across the globe.
If you’re using the Nokia 8.1 model, you will soon receive the OTA update notification automatically. However, if you haven’t received the Android 10 OTA update yet, then check for it manually. Go to the device Settings menu -> System -> Advanced -> System update
