The Nokia X10 5G, Nokia 8.3 5G, Nokia 3.4, and Nokia 5.4 receive the October 2022 Security Update

Nokia isn’t always the quickest when it comes to rolling out the latest security updates but the OEM is looking to improve its update game. Nokia has started rolling out the October 2022 Security Patch Update for a number of Nokia devices, including Nokia X10, Nokia 8.3 5G, Nokia 3.4, and Nokia 5.4. The new October 2022 Security Patch Update will come with bug fixes, issues fixes, and performance boost.

The Nokia X10 5G update has started rolling out globally and it’ll come with a package size of 59.66 MB. The update for Nokia 8.3 5G has rolled out in France and it’ll come as a package size of 52.52 MB. Nokia 3.4 and Nokia 5.4 users in India have received the new update and they’ll come at a size of 50.92 MB and 49.65 MB respectively.

As for the features and fixes, the October 2022 Android Security Patch will come with a few functional enhancements and general vulnerability exposures that can be fixed once you install the update on your device. Moreover, the October 2022 Security Update will fix 15 CVEs, including six fixes for Framework, 2 fixes for Media Framework, and eight CVEs for the System. Additionally, the update will also fix bugs and issues that impact your user experience. Aside from that, the update won’t bring any noticeable changes or improvements but you will notice a few minor enhancements and modifications once you’ve installed the update.

  • Head over to the device’s Settings
  • Scroll down and tap on the System before clicking on the System Update
  • Click on Check for the Update
  • In case an update is available, click on the Download button and tap on the Install option
