OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro get June 2022 security patch with OxygenOS 11.0.9.1 update

OnePlus is pushing a new incremental update to the OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro. Though OnePlus has already released Android 12 Open Beta, the latest OTA update is based on OxygenOS 11. It mainly brings the June 2022 security patch to improve system security and user privacy. 

The latest software update for the OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro comes with the software version OxygenOS 11.0.9.1. According to a post on the OnePlus community forum, the latest incremental OTA update is rolling out in North American and European markets. The latest build updates the Android security patch level to June 2022. It fixes vulnerabilities of different severity levels to improve user privacy and system security.

OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro are getting system stability improvements with the new update that should improve the user experience. It’s a minor security patch update. Hence, don’t expect to see new features, UI changes, or performance improvements.

OnePlus is distributing the OxygenOS 11.0.9.1 update to the OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro in batches. Hence, a limited number of users will receive the update the first, followed by a broader rollout in the coming days, if no critical bugs are found.
