OnePlus 9R and OnePlus Nord receive the new OxygenOS 11 update with fix for freezing issue

February has been an eventful month for OnePlus devices, with many users receiving January and February 2022 Security Updates and OxygenOS updates. The latest OnePlus handsets to receive software updates are the OnePlus 9R and OnePlus Nord and they’ve received the OxygenOS 11 update with many bug fixes. OnePlus 9R received its last update in January while OnePlus Nord recently received its latest update that featured the January 2022 Security Patch.

The new OnePlus 9R update will come with the firmware number 11.2.8.8.8.LE28DA while the OnePlus Nord update will come with the build number 11.1.9.9.AC01xA. The former has started rolling out in India while the latter is available globally. As both of them are incremental updates, they weigh less and can be downloaded within no time.

The new software updates for the OnePlus 9R and OnePlus Nord will feature many bug fixes and security improvements and come with the build numbers 11.2.8.8.8.LE28DA and 11.1.9.9.AC01xA respectively. The update will fix the freezing issue when sharping photos in Gallery while also coming with minor enhancements to improve the user experience. For ensuring the stability of the update, it’ll be rolled out in a staged manner.

As this update is being rolled out via OTA, the update will reach a handful of users and a much wider release is expected to happen in the coming days. Any OnePlus 9R and OnePlus Nord users can manually check for the update manually by simply heading to the device’s Settings -> System -> System Updates.
