But now, it seems to be getting a bit of pace as another Oppo A-series starts getting the May 2022 security patch. It’s the last year’s mid-range Oppo A52 getting the latest security update.
Oppo A52 is getting the May 2022 security patch update in India with the firmware version CPH2061_11_C.38. It is rolling out globally with the package weighing 346MB in size. The latest OTA update mainly brings a new security patch as the changelog has no mention of new features or any improvements.
Oppo released the A52 back in 2020 with Android 10 out of the box. A year later, the device secured its first major update, Android 11. Unfortunately, the Oppo A52 is not there in the official list of eligible Android 12 devices. However, it does not rule out the possibility of getting another major Android OS upgrade on Oppo A52.
