Public Beta Recruitment for Android12-based ColorOS 12 begins for Oppo A55 5G

Oppo announced last year that it is working on ColorOS 12 and it will be based on Android 12. In the last few months, Oppo has been steadily releasing the Android 12-based ColorOS 12 skin updates for many Oppo smartphone users. Now, another name is about to be added to the list as Oppo has announced the ColorOS 12 Public Beta Recruitment Program for Oppo A55 5G.

The company announced on the ColorOS Community that the aforementioned devices will be beginning the Public Beta Recruitment Program. Moreover, Oppo also released the timeline of the Android 12 update.

Oppo begins Public Beta Recruitment for Android 12-based ColorOS 12

Oppo has started the ColorOS 12 Beta Early Access Program for Oppo A55 5G users in China. Further, the Oppo A52 ColorOS 12 Beta Version will kick off soon as well. If you’re looking to try the Beta version, you can submit your application.

This month, several models will be receiving the ColorOS 12 Public Beta and Official updates. For instance, the OnePlus 8 Series is getting the official version upgrade while the Oppo A92 5G is joining the list as well. Oppo is also warning users that they won’t be able to use many features on their devices once they have been updated to ColorOS 12 build. The users should apply via the Software Update Application channel for which they’ve registered for the update.

The recruitment period for the Public Beta Recruitment Program for Oppo A55 5G users is from March 15th to March 16th. The application will be received within 5 business days after the recruitment has officially closed. Further, the new version will be pushed within 3 business days after the review has been completed.

How to apply for the ColorOS 12 Public Beta Recruitment Program?

  • Simply head over to the Settings Menu and click on the Software Update option
  • Now, tap on the Settings icon present in the top right corner
  • Go to the Trial Version and submit the detail
  • Finish the process by pressing Apply Now
