Realme 2 gets ColorOS 6 Pie based stable update with June patch in India. Oppo’s sub-brand Realme has started rolling out the official Pie stable ROM. The device got Pie beta update last month. It seems that the beta testing period is over now and the company is moving towards the stable version. The firmware update also brings a couple of new features like riding mode, navigation gestures, app launcher, and more. It offers updated June 2019 Android Security Patch level as well which improves system security.
The software update brings notification icons to the status bar and an app drawer on the home screen for apps and games which is quite useful. As we all know that Android Pie features swipe navigation gesture support which is also added this time to the Realme 2 device. Additionally, the riding mode offers incoming calls or notifications muted during ongoing calls for better DND support. It also sends text messages with specific templates.
Meanwhile, Realme 2 gets ColorOS 6 which brings the design of the notifications shade also changed with more clean and optimal icon size. The Realme Theme Store also arrived this time with this update which will offer custom themes, images, ringtones, etc. The OTA update is in incremental mode and will take some time to roll out complete in India. If you’re using the Realme 2 device, you can check for the OTA updates manually from the device. Otherwise, you have to wait for a few days more to get the OTA notification automatically.
