Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro handset launched in India

Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro just launched in India today on August 20, 2019. Both the smartphones come under Oppo sub-brand called Realme for the online markets. Interestingly, both the handsets offer quad rear camera set up in a budget price category. While the Realme 5 priced under 10K INR with a total of four rear camera sensors is first offering in the market. Both the device will compete with the LG W-series, Samsung, and Xiaomi budget segment devices.

Both the devices do come with dual Nano-SIM slot, Android 9.0 Pie version, Color OS 6.0 custom skin, Qualcomm processors, Gorilla Glass 3+ protection, and more. The higher Realme 5 Pro variant offers a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor with PDAF, EIS, portrait mode, and more. Realme 5 Pro Specifications and Features

The Realme 5 Pro sports a 6.3-inch Full-HD+ display 1080×2340 pixels resolution along with Corning Gorilla Glass 3+ protection. It’s powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 SoC, coupled with 4GB/6GB/8GB of RAM with 64GB and 128GB onboard storage options. The storage is expandable via a microSD card up to 256GB. It runs on Color OS 6.0 based on Android 9 Pie.

In terms of the camera department, the 5 Pro packs a quad-camera setup on the rear side with a 48MP Sony IMX586 primary sensor which is packed with PDAF and an f/1.8 aperture lens. It also packs an 8MP sensor with an f/2.25 lens and a 119-degree wide-angle lens. Additionally, the handset sports a 2MP macro and a 2MP portrait lens with an LED flash. The Realme 5 Pro price starts in India at INR 13,999 for the 4GB/64GB model. While the 6GB/64GB model is priced at INR 14,999 and the 8GB/128GB model priced at INR 16,999.

Whereas, the Realme 5 price in India starts at INR 9,999 for the 3GB/32GB model along with the 4GB/64GB model priced at INR 10,999. The 4GB RAM/128GB model priced at INR 11,999.

The Realme 5 Pro goes on sale via Flipkart and the Realme website from 12 pm (noon) IST on September 4, 2019.
