Recently, Realme started rolling out the June 2022 security patch update. The company’s first phone to get the latest security patch was Realme 9 5G, and now it’s available for Realme 9i users as well.
The latest OTA update for Realme 9i comes with the firmware version RMX3491_11_A.17. It mainly brings the June 2022 security patch to improve user privacy and data security. According to the changelog shared by RMUpdate, the latest build also includes system performance and stability improvements.
Realme has begun distributing the June 2022 security patch to Realme 9i users in India. It will be available for more regions in the coming weeks. As always, the latest OTA update is rolling out in batches. It simply means that a limited number of users will get the update at first, and then it will be rolled out to the remaining users in the coming days.
In case, you have not received a notification for June 2022 software update on your Realme 9i, navigate to Settings >> Software update to check if it is already available for download. Otherwise, wait for a few days and repeat the same steps.
Realme 9i was released earlier this year as a budget phone packed with a decent set of specifications. It has a 90Hz display, Snapdragon 680 SoC, 50MP triple rear camera setup, a 16MP selfie camera, and a 5,000mAh battery. The device was launched with Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0. Last month, Realme kicked off the Realme UI 3.0 early access beta program, which means that a stable Android 12 update is on the way.
