Realme started this year by bringing Realme GT 2 Pro flagship smartphone with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. Soon after its launch in China, the device also made its way to the global market. Last month, the device received its first software update in China, bringing the January security patch and loads of fixes and improvements. Now, another update has arrived that also adds dozens of fixes and optimizations, and the February 2022 security patch.
The latest software update for Realme GT 2 Pro is rolling out in China with the build version A.18. It mainly brings the February 2022 security patch that includes fixes for numerous vulnerabilities related to system security and privacy. The new build also includes various fixes related to out-of-sync video sound and picture issues on Douyin, an issue with eye protection mode automatic turn-off, a problem with the HD call icon, and an abnormal restart of the device.
Realme has fixed the problem where the game assistant does not close after exiting the game and the problem with calls where the other party could not hear the sound is also getting a fix with the new update. The screen shaking issue when shooting video has also got a fix.
Realme GT 2 Pro is also getting optimizations for screen recording fluency, startup speed and sliding smoothness of some third-party apps, temperature controls of same games, and optimizes the video playback smoothness in albums.
As of now, the February update for Realme GT 2 Pro is rolling out in China. We can expect the update to hit the global variant in the coming days. To manually check for new updates, head over to the Software update section under the Settings app.
