Realme GT 5G gets June 2022 security update with multiple fixes


Realme GT 5G was released early last year with Android 11 out of the box. It was the company’s first phone to receive the Android 12. Since then, the company has been releasing minor software update to improve the device security and fix known issues. A similar kind of update is now being rolled out to the Realme GT 5G that brings the June 2022 security patch and a couple of fixes related to camera, Wi-Fi, charging, and display.

The latest software update for Realme GT 5G carries the build version RMX2202_11_C.17. According to the changelog, the update improves the system security and privacy by bringing the June 2022 security patch. The Realme GT 5G is getting a fix for random device unlock issue and a screen display issue which was occurring occasionally after using the fingerprint scanner.

Realme has fixed the overexposure issue in the camera. It has improved the Wi-Fi connections stability and fixed the music playback lagging issue when connected with a Topway car display via Bluetooth. A charging issue is also getting fixed here. The latest software update also includes system performance and stability improvements.

Realme GT 5G is a high-end phone released last year with Snapdragon 888 SoC. The smartphone features a good set of specs such as 120Hz sAMOLED display, 64MP triple rear cameras, a 16MP selfie camera, and a 4,500mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging. The device was launched with Android 11 OS and has already received Android 12. It will also received Android 13 update, which is likely to come with Realme UI 4.0.
