Realme Narzo 50A Prime gets April 2022 security update with camera optimizations

Following the footsteps of Samsung and Apple, Realme has also started to offer their phones without a charger. It’s none other than the Narzo 50A Prime becoming the first phone from the brand to ship without a charger. While Apple and Samsung has applied this on their premium models, the Narzo 50A Prime is a budget phone. The Realme Narzo 50A Prime is now receiving its first software update that mainly brings the April 2022 security patch and some camera and stability improvements.

The first software update for Realme Narzo 50A Prime is rolling out in India. It is tagged as RMX3516PU_11_A.19. According to the changelog shared by RMupdate, the latest OTA update bumps the Android security patch level to April 2022. It fixes numerous vulnerabilities to improve the system security and privacy.

Realme has optimized the camera effects of the phone. Also, the system stability is getting improved. Realme Narzo 50A Prime was launched last month in India. Despite getting launch in the second quarter, the device didn’t come with Android 12. The device is still based on Android 11, and hopefully, the Android 12 update should on the way very soon.

The April 2022 security update for Realme Narzo 50A Prime should be rolling out in a staged fashion. It simply means that the new OTA update may take a couple of days to reach all users. You can either wait for the update notification or go to Settings >> Software update to manually check for new updates.

Realme Narzo 50A Prime is a budget phone that has a 6.6-inch LCD display with a FullHD+ resolution and 600nits of peak brightness. Under the hood, it is powered by an octa-core Unisoc T612 chipset, paired with 4GB RAM and up to 128GB storage. The phone houses a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. It features a 50MP triple cameras on the back and an 8MP sensor for selfies and video calls.
