Realme V5 gets Android 12 with Realme UI 3.0 Open Beta update

Realme kicks off the Realme UI 3.0 Open Beta program for the Realme V5 5G users in China, which is based on Android 12. A couple of weeks ago, the device became a part of the Realme UI 3.0 Early Access program, and now the public beta has arrived. Generally, the open beta builds are more refined than the Early Access beta builds, and thus contain less number of issues.

Before applying for the Realme UI 3.0 Open Beta program, there are a couple of things you need to keep in mind. First, your Realme V5 5G should not be rooted and it should be running the C.16 firmware version. Realme recommends that the device should have around 10GB of free internal storage to avoid the risk of update failure.

Here’s how you can apply for the Realme UI 3.0 Open Beta program on your Realme V5:

  1. Go to Settings -> Software updates.
  2. Tap on the settings icon at the top-right corner.
  3. Click on Trial Version.
  4. Submit the required details.
  5. Click Apply now.

After your application gets selected, you’ll get the open beta build on your phone in the next few days.

Before installing the Realme UI 3.0 Open Beta build, make sure you’ve already taken a complete backup of your phone to avoid any data loss. Since this is a major update, the installation might take a bit longer. Hence, do not panic if it happens, and make sure the battery is charged at least 60% to avoid installation failure.
