Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 is now receiving a new software update that brings January 2021 security patch. Surprisingly, the Redmi 9A and Poco C3 have already received the January 2021 security update.
Security patch updates increase the security mechanism of the devices and thus makes the device safer to use. Therefore, it is always advised to keep your smartphone updated with the latest security patches.
The Global variant Redmi Note 8 is receiving the update with MIUI 12 firmware version V12.0.3.0.QCOMIXM. The update is currently rolling out as Global ROM. The company will soon roll out the update to other regions as well.
You can manually check the software update on your device whether it’s available on your device or not. Head over to the device Settings –> About Phone –> Check for Software Update.
