A new monthly security update from Xiaomi is now available for select devices. The Redmi Note 9 5G is now getting a new update that includes the June 2022 security patch.
Redmi Note 9 5G’s June 2022 security patch, which has a build number of V13.0.2.0.SJECNXM, is about 3.2GB in size. The update is currently being rolled out in China, and other markets are expected to receive it within the next few days.
As always, this update fixes bugs related to system security in order to improve the stability of the device, but no additional changes or features are mentioned in the changelog. Following a software update, you may notice minor improvements.
As of the most recent release, owners of the Redmi Note 9 5G will likely be receiving notification that a monthly patch is available. Go to Settings >> Software update and select Download and install if you don’t see the option to check.
