Samsung Galaxy A71 gets June 2022 security update

The popular mid-range phone from 2019, the Galaxy A71, has started getting the June 2022 security update. The latest software update improves system security, privacy, and system stability by fixing numerous vulnerabilities. It comes with the firmware version A715FXXS8CVF2.

Samsung has released the June 2022 security update for the Galaxy A71 users in some European countries. Precisely, the update is available in Germany, Netherlands, Czech Republic, UK, Italy, France, Spain, Slovakia, Poland, Portugal, and Greece. In the coming weeks, the update will be made available to more regions.

According to Samsung, the June 2022 security patch includes fixes to 5 critical, 39 high, and 1 moderate level CVEs from Google and Samsung. After installing the update, you might not see any difference in your phone, as the update mainly brings a new security patch. However, it might also include general bug fixing and system stability improvements.

Samsung is regularly updating the Galaxy A71 with the latest security patch. But, the Galaxy A71 5G is still stuck on the April security patch. The LTE variant was released back in 2019 with Android 10 out of the box. It has already secured two Android OS updates – Android 11 and Android 12.
