Samsung Galaxy M62 picks up May 2022 security update

Samsung Galaxy M62 is the company’s latest smartphone to receive the May 2022 security patch update. The latest One UI build fixes numerous vulnerabilities to enhance the system security and privacy.

The May 2022 security update for the Samsung Galaxy M62 comes with the firmware version M625FXX52BVE1. It has a download size of just 190MB. For now, the update is available in Malaysia, and it should start rolling out to more countries over the next few days.

The new security patch for the Galaxy M62 fixes 7 critical, 23 high, and 3 moderate levels of CVEs. In addition to this, the latest build might also include system stability improvements and general bug fixing.

If you are a Samsung Galaxy M62 user in Malaysia, you might have already received the May 2022 security update. If you haven’t, head over to the Software update section under the Settings app to manually check for available updates. The update may take a couple of days to reach all the users. So, be patient, if it hasn’t reached your phone yet.

Samsung released the Galaxy M62 earlier last year with Android 11 out of the box. The device has already secured its first major OS upgrade in the form of Android 12. The Galaxy M62 sports a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with FullHD+ resolution and a punch-hole cutout for a 32MP selfie camera. Around the back, there’s a 64MP quad-camera setup. The device has an Exynos 9825 SoC and packs a massive 7,000mAh battery.
