Samsung Galaxy Note 20 gets August 2022 security update in Brazil

The Galaxy Note 20 was one of the very first Samsung phones to get treated with the August 2022 security update. However, the rollout was limited to the US, and later it expanded to various Asian, European, and South American markets. Now, the update has started hitting Galaxy Note 20 users in Brazil.

The August 2022 security patch for the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra comes with the firmware version N986BXXU4FVH4 and N981BXXU4FVH4, respectively. Since it’s not a major update, you do not need to spend a big chunk of your internet data. It weighs around 250MB in size.

The latest security patch for Samsung Galaxy phones fixes dozens of vulnerabilities of different severity levels to enhance user privacy and data security. More specifically, some of these vulnerabilities are linked to Samsung DeX, MAC address leak, Samsung Knox, and improper access control.
