Galaxy S20 and Note 20 series get Dual recording camera feature and May security 2021 security patch with the new update

Samsung Galaxy S20 series and Galaxy Note 20 series are now receiving a new software update that brings a Dual recording camera feature and May 2021 security patch. Back in March, Samsung sent a software update to these smartphones that added new camera features from Galaxy S21 series. But, the update didn’t bring Director’s view.

The new Dual recording camera feature is a toned-down version of the Director’s view that allows recording videos from both front and rear cameras at the same time. In addition to this, the update also brings May 2021 security patch to enhance system security. As of now, Samsung has not detailed which security vulnerabilities are being fixed by the May 2021 security patch.

If you are an owner of the Samsung Galaxy S20 series or Galaxy Note 20 series, then you would have already received the update. If not, then manually check for the update by heading to Settings >> Software updates and then tap on “Download and install“.
