The August 2022 security patch update for the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE is currently being rolled out in India. The update was made available to select customers in Europe earlier this month. The update is being rolled out via an OTA.
This new version is not a significant update; rather, it is an incremental security update that claims to address certain major security flaws and improve the device’s general performance and stability.
In addition to these, Samsung’s patch for August 2022 addresses a large number of vulnerabilities as well as exploits. These contain 1 critical CVE vulnerability. Additionally, it fixes 23 critical vulnerabilities at the same time.

The most recent update for the Galaxy S20 FE can be identified by the build version G780FXXU9DVG5. As was indicated, it is now available for LTE phones; however, the 5G versions in India will also have access to it very soon.
How to update/Install the update?
All Galaxy S20 FE owners will be notified as soon as this update is ready for download. Now, let’s pretend you didn’t get the update notification for some reason. If so, go into your device’s settings, select “Software updates,” and then click “Download and install” to check for it manually.
