Samsung Galaxy S20 Series bags One UI 2.5 update with August 2020 Patch

Both the Samsung Galaxy Note20 and Note20 Ultra models have arrived with One UI 2.5 skin over Android 10 preloaded. Talking about the firmware update, the latest One UI 2.5 update for Galaxy S20 lineup devices is still based on Android 10 (stable) and brings the latest software version BTH5 (G981BXXU4BTH5, G986BXXU4BTH5, and G988BXXU4BTH5). To be very specific, this update is the same for both the US and European Galaxy S20, S20 Plus, and S20 Ultra (Snapdragon in USA & Exynos for Global/Europe) variants.

It brings a couple of new features and other system improvements like Samsung DeX wireless, improved Pro video mode, changeable Single Take duration, navigation gestures in third-party app launchers, etc. Additionally, it also offers the latest August 2020 Security Patch Level that carries major security bug fixes that could enable a remote attacker to easily affect the device system or data which are running on an outdated security patch version.

All the interested Samsung Galaxy S20 series device users can easily check for the One UI 2.5 OTA update via the device Settings > System updates > Check for updates. If the latest version is available, just Download and Install it. Meanwhile, Samsung is also working very hard to release the One UI 3.0 Beta update based on Android 11 for its eligible devices very soon.
