Samsung Galaxy S21 appears on BIS certification

Samsung Galaxy S21 series has been in the rumor mill for the last couple of weeks. A recent leak claimed that the Galaxy S21 will launch in January 2021. The vanilla Galaxy S21 reportedly bears model number SM-G991B which has now obtained BIS certification. This hints that the company will also bring the device to the Indian market.

The Galaxy S21 is said to arrive in two chipset variants – Exynos 2100 and Snapdragon 875 SoC. Availability of the chipset variant will depend on the market. A recent report from AndroidPolice suggests that the smartphone will feature a 6.2-inch FHD+ LTPS display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It will boot Android 11 OS with OneUI 3.0 on the top.

3C listing for the Samsung Galaxy S21 reveals that it has a 3,880mAh rated battery capacity. So, the typical capacity should be around 4,000mAh. The phone is expected to feature 25W fast charging. The report further mentions that the Galaxy S21 will feature a triple camera setup on the back, which consists of a 12MP primary shooter, a 12MP ultrawide sensor, and a 64MP telephoto sensor.

The smartphone will feature 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, and NFC. Expected color options for the Galaxy S21 are – Phantom Violet, Phantom Pink, Phantom Gray, and Phantom White.
