Samsung has been on a tremendous roll lately and we have been left short of words to emphasize how hard the team at Samsung is working to provide all the system as well as security updates to all of its flagship devices. As big a company as Samsung has to remember that they have to give updates to each and every device in their lineup be it smartphones or tablets or smartwatches so they have to be on their toes to get the updates ready on time. Some of the manufacturers have blatently refused to give security updates to some of their devices but not Samsung. Though the company has been scrutinized many times for not providing updates, we can assure you that their phones are receiving updates slowly but surely.
Now is the time for one of the Samsung tablets to receive the April security patch. The users of the Samsung Tab S3 are reporting that their devices are receiving an OTA update which says to install the April security update. Do note that only the LTE variant of the Tab S3 is receiving the update. Arriving as build number T825XXU1AQD6, the new firmware brings the April security patch alongwith regular bug fixes and system improvements. Although a minor update, it is a recommended one as it patches the latest Google Android security update.
The update is being rolled out over the air, it may take a while to reach your Galaxy Tab S3 device. If waiting is not your thing, you may want to check for it right away which you can do by heading to Settings > About device > System updates. But before hitting the download button, ensure that your handset is sufficiently charged and connected to a WiFi network. Enjoy the latest security updates which also happens to come with performance improvements.
