Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 joins August 2022 security update party

The first week of August has just begun, but for Samsung, it started a couple of days ago. The company has already released the August 2022 security patch to a couple of its phones, and now the Galaxy Z Flip 3 has joined the bandwagon with its latest software update.

For now, the latest OTA update for the Galaxy Z Flip 3 is rolling out in European countries with more regions to follow in the coming weeks. The update is tagged with the firmware version F711BXXU2CVG8. It mainly brings the August 2022 security patch to improve the user privacy and data by incorporating the latest vulnerability fixes from Samsung and Google.

It’s a minor security patch update for the Galaxy Z Flip 3, which focuses on improving security and privacy areas. Do not expect to see new features or performance improvements after installing the latest OTA update. However, it might also include device stability improve and some general bug fixing.

If you are a Galaxy Z Flip 3 user in Europe and have not received the August update yet, go to Settings > Software update and tap on Download and install to update your phone.

The Galaxy Z Flip 3 is the company’s latest phone in the Galaxy Z Flip series released last year. It came with Android 11 out of the box, and has already secured its first major OS update in the form of Android 12 with One UI 4.1 skin. Not to mention, the device is eligible for Android 13. In fact, it will receive one more OS update after that.
