Samsung’s software update rollout speed has been pretty impressive over the last few years. It was the first to roll out July 2021 security patch which was released for Galaxy S10. Now, Samsung’s July 2021 security patch list includes a bunch of Galaxy devices. The new software update for Galaxy M10 and Galaxy Z Fold 2 also brings the latest security patch.
The Galaxy M10 is an entry-level phone from Samsung which was released back in February 2019. It’s good to see that the company is updating entry-level devices with the latest security patch. The new software update for Galaxy M10 is currently rolling out in South America with firmware version M105MUBU7CUF1.
The premium Galaxy Z Fold 2 has also started receiving the July 2021 security patch update. It is currently rolling out in Germany which can be identified by firmware version F916BXXU1DUF1. As this is a minor security patch update, don’t expect to see any new features, performance enhancements, or UI changes.
As announced by Samsung, the July 2021 security patch fixes dozens of critical Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE’s) which increases the system security. So, it’s better to install the update as soon as it reaches your phone.
The update is currently rolling out in select regions and should start rolling out to other regions in the coming days. You can manually check for the latest update on your Galaxy Z Fold 2 or Galaxy M10 by navigating to Settings >> Software updates.
