Samsung pushes August 2022 security update to Galaxy A53 in Europe

Samsung is expanding the availability of the August 2022 security update for the Galaxy A53 owners. After rolling out in various countries including Poland, Ireland, Serbia, UK, Switzerland, Austria, the company is now distributing the update to the Galaxy A53 users in Europe. The update is not just limited to vulnerabilities fixes as it also updates some stock apps.

The Samsung Galaxy A53 users in Europe can identify the August update by the firmware version A536BXXU3AVGA. The latest software update mainly focuses on improving the device security and user privacy as it fixes dozens of vulnerabilities of different severity levels.

The software update brings a new version of some stock applications. These are – Samsung Notes, SmartThings, Samsung Members, Samsung Pay, Calculators, and Voice Recorder. The build for India also carries improvements to camera stability for a better experience.

The August 2022 security patch has already reached nearly all eligible high-end phones, and the company is aggressively rolling out to the mid-range and budget phones. As detailed by Samsung, it fixes dozens of vulnerabilities related to system security and privacy. Some of these vulnerabilities are linked to Samsung DeX, Samsung Knox, Samsung Dialer, and Mac address leaks.
