T-Mobile HTC U11 Life gets 2.15.531.6 update (OTA): HTC released the latest smartphone in their HTC U11 lineup which was just released starting this year with the launch of the HTC U11 which was also the flagship smartphone from the company until recently. This is because the company launched an upgraded version of the HTC U11 named as the HTC U11 Plus which had a bezel-less display and improvements to the camera. Now, the HTC U11 Life was also launched alongside the HTC U11 Plus from HTC and this smartphone has been launched in two variants. The variant which has been launched in the US along with the T-Mobile network is the variant which has HTC Sense UI on it. There is another variant of the HTC U11 Life which comes with Stock Android as the Android One edition phone launched in the Asian markets.

Now, we have some news regarding the variant which has been launched in the US on the T-Mobile network. The good news is that the smartphone has started to get the Android Oreo update which has been based on HTC’s Sense UI as we mentioned earlier. This update will install the latest security patch released by Google to the smartphone also.

Now, the update is considerably big in size as the update weighs around 1.4 GB so it is recommended that you download the update on a WiFi network as the update may incur data charges if you have a metered data connection. The latest update to the HTC U11 Life comes with software version 2.15.531.6. As far as the update is concerned, you will soon receive the update to the smartphone as an OTA update automatically as we have known that the T-Mobile network has already started to roll out the OTAs to the HTC U11 Life smartphones on their network with some of the users already receiving the update.

If you own a T-Mobile HTC U11 Life, then you may have already received this Patch OTA Update.You can manually check for the update by going to Settings » About phone » Software update, then check for update.If there is no update showing on your device, then wait for few days for the update to come to your device.

Note: Before installing the update make sure that your device has at-least 50% charged and connect to the Wi-Fi network to avoid the data charges.
