Tecno Phantom 9 launched with Android Pie, AMOLED Display, and more

Tecno Phantom 9 has launched in India with triple rear cameras, in-display fingerprint scanner, and more. While the Phantom 9 includes dual selfie flash, 32MP front camera, and a waterdrop notch style display. The camera features AI HDR, AI Scene Detection, and Backlight portrait, etc. Flipkart is the official partner of Tecno for selling the Phantom 9 device online in India. Tecno Phantom 9 Specifications

The Phantom 9 features a 6.4-inches full-HD+ display with 1080×2340 pixels resolution. The screen features AMOLED waterdrop notch display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It’s an octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 SoC coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. While the storage can be expandable up to 256GB via MicroSD card. It runs on HiOS 5.0 based on Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box.

The device sports a triple rear camera setup of a 16MP primary sensor with an f/1.85 aperture, 8MP secondary sensor, and a 2MP third sensor along with an LED flash. The camera features night mode and a quad LED flash. On the front side, a 32MP AI selfie camera sensor with an f/2.0 aperture lens. The Phantom 9 features AI Camera, HDR, Portrait Mode, Beauty, AR Mode, Animoji, Bokeh effect, Panorama, and Google Lens integration support. It also supports AI Face Unlock option.

In terms of the connectivity options, it includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 5, GPS, A-GPS, Micro-USB port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The handset includes an accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, magnetometer, and proximity sensor. The Phantom 9 packs a 3,500mAh battery capacity. It measures 158.52×75.3×7.85mm and weighs around 164 grams.

Price and Availability

The smartphone is priced at Rs.14,999 for the single 6GB RAM variant in India. It will be available for sale via the Flipkart starting from July 17. It comes in Lapland Aurora color.
