The Chinese smartphone maker, Xiaomi has been doing excellent work when it comes to updating its devices to the latest security patches. The Mi 8 Lite (codenamed platina) has started December 2019 security patch update. The all-new MIUI 11.0.8.0 Global Stable ROM (V11.0.8.0.PDTMIXM) is now made available for the device.
The update is Global Stable ROM. If your device is running on a Global Stable ROM, only then you will get the update via OTA. Otherwise, you have to install it manually. The update is based on Android 9. The Full firmware size is around 1.7 GB. You can follow our guide to manually flash the full firmware on your device.
