Verizon is sending a new software update to the Nokia 2 V Tella and Nokia 8 V 5G UW. The update mainly improves device security by installing the security patch released in April 2021.
The latest update carries the same software version 00VPO_1_350 for Nokia 2 V Tella and 8 V 5G UW. This is system update number 4 from Verizon for the phones. In addition to a new security patch, the update for Nokia 2 V Tella brings performance improvements, and the Pre-download, post-download & post-update messages/screens have been updated. There are also several performance improvements for Nokia 8 V 5G UW as well.
If you are a Verizon’s Nokia 2 V Tella / Nokia 8 V 5G UW user then you might have already received the update. If you haven’t, then manually update your phone by navigating to Settings >> About phone >> Software updates.
HMD Global launched the Nokia 2 V Tella and Nokia 8 V 5G UW back in late 2020 with Android 10 out of the box. As per the company’s policy, both the devices are eligible for Android 11 update. But, the company is yet to announce the rollout timeline for Nokia 2 V Tella / 8 V 5G UW.
