Vivo Y51 (2020) bags BIS certification, India launch seems imminent

Back in September, Vivo Y51 (2020) made its debut in Pakistan but didn’t go official in India. Now, the Vivo Y51 (2020) with model number V2030 has obtained Indian BIS certification, which hints that it might soon launch in India. The device offers 48MP quad cameras, an AMOLED panel, and a decent 4,500mAh battery.

In addition to the BIS, the device also received SDPPI certification. Hence, Vivo Y51 (2020) Indonesia launch is also imminent. In terms of specs, the smartphone has a 6.38-inch AMOLED display with 1,080 x 2,340 pixels FullHD+ resolution and an in-display fingerprint scanner. The phone boots Android 10 OS with FunTouch OS 10 skin on the top.

Under the hood, Y51 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 665 chipset paired with 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. There’s also a microSD card slot for additional storage up to 256GB. The device features a 16MP selfie shooter housed inside the waterdrop notch. On the back, it has a quad-camera setup which includes a 48MP primary shooter, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and two 2MP sensors for depth and macro shoot.

The Vivo Y51 (2020) packs a 4,500mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging through a USB Type-C port. In Pakistan, the Y51 (2020) debuted for PKR 36,999 (~Rs 17,400/$234).
