Xiaomi has started to roll out January 2022 security patch update for Mi 11 Lite 4G users in India. The latest software update is based on Android 11 and has the firmware version V12.5.4.0.RKQINXM.
Last week, Xiaomi started rolling out the Android 12-based MIUI 13 update to the Mi 11 Lite 4G users. But, the rollout was limited to the Global version. On the other hand, Indian users are still receiving updates based on Android 11. Hopefully, the brand will soon expand the Android 12 reach to Mi 11 Lite 4G users in India and other countries.
The January 2022 security patch for Mi 11 Lite 4G should fix a bunch of vulnerabilities to improve the system’s security and privacy. The latest OTA update does not include any other changes apart from the January patch. Therefore, don’t expect a performance improvement or new features.
Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 4G users in India have started picking up the January security update on their phones. For those, who have not received it yet should go to Settings >> About phone >> System update to manually check for new updates.
