Xiaomi Mi A2 & Mi A2 Lite Get October 2019 Security Update. Both the phones have been updated to Google’s latest October 2019 security patch. This is not a jor update for the devices. It is just an incremental one which brings some bug fixes and stability improvements along with the latest security patch.

While users are waiting for the official Android 10 update, this time to they just got a security update. Not only the Mi A2 series but also the latest Xiaomi Mi A3 has not been updated to Android 10 yet. The company has promised to release the official Android 10 update to Xiaomi Mi A3 later this month but till now we haven’t seen the update yet. We now have to wait for the update.

Now coming back to the latest update of Xiaomi Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite, the build number of the updates are V10.0.15.0.PDIMIXM and V10.0.15.0.PDLMIXM respectively. The updates have been rolled out as an OTA update. If you have any of these devices, you may have already received the updates.

In order to manually check the update, go to Settings > About phone > System updates. If there is no update, you have to wait for few more days for the update to come to your region. The update is being rolled out in a phased manner so it will take some time to be available around the globe.
