Xiaomi Mi Water TDS tester launched in India

Xiaomi is celebrating its fifth anniversary in India. Recently, Xiaomi has launched Mi Water TDS tester in India at a price of Rs.349. The company will sell this product via crowdfunding and the interested buyers can enrol for that. You can visit this link for enrolling to the crowdfunding.

The Mi Water TDS tester will help users to monitor the water before drinking. We can expect that the product will be available soon via open sale due to its cheaper price tag. It will come in handy for most of the people in their home for older ones and kids as well. The Mi Water TDS tester comes in white colour which looks cool.

You will need to put LR44 batteries inside the Mi Water TDS tester and dip it inside a glass of tap water to find the TDS level in real-time. Xiaomi claims that the Water TDS tester is accurate and reliable for daily use. The company also mentioned that it helps detect the count of total dissolved solids and alert users if the water isn’t suitable for drinking. It also shows the ppm value on the tester screen.

This tester can detect solvents like soluble salts, ionic organic, and heavy metal ions in water and alert the users accurately and quickly. It’s IPX6 certified so that the product will go longer with waterproof feature. The precision-made sensor is designed to effectively resist rust and corrosion. It works perfectly in a temperature range between 0 to 80-degree Celsius. Xiaomi also mentioned that the tester can be used to test tap water, reservoir water, boiled water, filtered water, bottled water, and aquarium water.

The Water TDS tester is running on LR44 batteries along with an energy-saving chipset that automatically turns off the tester after 2 minutes of inactivity. The batteries are replaceable. But Xiaomi didn’t mention about the battery life.

The tester will start shipping to the customers on July 25 and will cost extra Rs.50 as shipping charge.
