Xiaomi is allset to launch the next flagship phones in its flagship series which is the Mi series from Xiaomi. Last year we saw Xiaomi releasing the Xiaomi Mi5 smartphone last year but to be fair, the phone didn’t do too well as compared to Xiaomi’s expectation and the company would also agree to this fact. This year we are expecting to see the next Mi phone from Xiaomi earlier than expected. There were rumors that Xiaomi could launch the Mi6 and Mi6 Plus as early as today in China region. Now we have reports that have stated otherwise. We have gotten our hands to one of the poster which could be for the launch of the Xiaomi Mi6 and Mi6 Plus.
As per the poster which can be seen above, the release date for the Mi 6 and Mi 6 Plus is set for April 19. The text on the poster translates to, ‘You waited 203 days, we waited 7 years. On April 19, millet 6 new conference.’ This translation is a little bit off target but we can get the sense of what the company is trying to tell us which is that this phones will have something which they have not released in Mi phones until now.
We already know a lot about the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 6 and Mi 6 Plus flagship smartphones. The specifications as well as pricing and other details have leaked several times. Most recent leak revealed the prices for the devices, with the Mi 6 starting at CNY 2,199, and the Mi 6 Plus at CNY 2,699. The devices will run Android 7.1.1 out of the box and feature the Snapdragon 835 chipset which is the latest from Qualcomm.
This means that Xiaomi will be holding a press conference on April 19 to announce the Mi 6 and Mi 6 Plus. And since it also has the official Mi symbol, this should be legitimate.
