Xiaomi developers have been busy rolling out new security and software updates for Xiaomi handsets in the last few weeks. Now, Redmi 9 is the latest device to receive the update as Xiaomi has started rolling out the new January 2022 Security Update for Redmi 9 users globally. Although the changelog doesn’t mention all the additional features and additions, there will be a few improvements to increase the stability and performance of the device.
The new update for Redmi 9 will come with the build number V12.5.4.0.RJCMIXM and will be based on Android 11. It is worth noting that the software package will weigh around 2.4 GB so it is important to connect the device to high-speed Wi-Fi to carry out the update seamlessly.
