Samsung has seeded the May 2024 security patch available for the Verizon-exclusive Galaxy A23 5G (model SM-A236V) in the United States. The update is carrying firmware version A236VSQS4CXE3
It is an incremntal update which addresses 45 security vulnerabilities. This updates comes a days after the device got the the major One UI 6.1 update.
You can manually check for updates by navigating to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Since the update is being released in stages, it might take some time to reach all devices.
As mentioned earlier, the Galaxy A23 5G recently received the One UI 6.1 update, which adds some AI features to the device.
The Galaxy A23 will keep getting regular security updates because it’s set to receive the One UI 7.0 update, based on Android 15.
In the next few weeks, Samsung plans to roll out the May 2024 security patch to more regions and other versions of the Galaxy A23 5G.
