Samsung is giving a new security OTA update for the Galaxy A54 and Galaxy A53 phones. This update is the June 2024 security patch. It’s coming in phases, so not every phone will get it at once.
This update is now available through Verizon for the Galaxy A54, Galaxy A53, and a few other models. The Galaxy A54 update comes tagged with One UI build number A546VSQS7CXF3, while the Galaxy A53 has A536VSQSBEXE6.
Instead of introducing new features, this latest security patch enhances the devices’ security and stability.
The June 2024 security patch fixes 55 vulnerabilities. These fixes address grid image display, battery statistics, call verification, and Samsung Dialer app issues.
T-Mobile and Dish Wireless customers may already have received the update on their devices. If your device is with Verizon and is one of these models, you might soon get an update notification.
To update your phone, go to Settings. Scroll down and find Software Update. Open it and tap on Download and Install if there’s a new update. The phone will start updating itself.
