The Korean electronic giant Samsung is now sending a new incremental update for the Galaxy A42 5G. This update is available in Europe and includes the June 2024 Android security patch.
The update is identified by the One UI build version A426BXXS7DXF1. It is being pushed out as a phased rollout via OTA, so it may take a few days for the update to come to all models.
The update mainly focuses on security improvements by adding the latest Android security measures. It also fixes various bugs to make the phone more stable. The June 2024 patch fixes 59 security issues found in Android and One UI. Out of these, 22 issues affect only Samsung Galaxy smartphones and tablets.
The update addresses problems with the grid image display, battery statistics services, call verification, and the Samsung Dialer app. Previously reported minor bugs might also have been fixed to ensure a better user experience.
In order to update, just go to Settings on your phone, then click Software Update, and then tap on Download and Install. The downloading and installation process will start automatically.
