Samsung starts rolling out the One UI 6.1 update to Galaxy M53

2022’s Samsung Galaxy M53 5G did come with best-in-class specifications in the price tag. It came with Android 12 out of the box and the best part is that it has already received two major Android OS updates, such as Android 13 & Android 14. Now, the South Korean tech giant Samsung starts rolling out the One UI 6.1 update to Galaxy M53.

If we take a quick look at the software update limitation, Galaxy M53 5G has already reached to its final limit. We should also mention that this One UI 6.1 update might be the last software update for the Galaxy M53 5G models regarding significant updates.

Currently, the Galaxy M53 5G users are getting the One UI 6.1 update in the Brazil region with the firmware version number M536BXXU5EXD3 based on Android 14. This software update package is quite big, with a size of approximately 2.2 GB, which brings the April 2024 Security Patch fixes and overall system performance improvements.

In addition, you’ll get more customisation features, such as new wallpaper editing options, new widgets on the lock screen, customised alarm & reminder alerts, etc. Currently, the particular software update is being rolled out in Brazil and more regions will soon receive the same in the next few days.

You can check for available updates from the Settings app on your device > Software Update > Download and Install. You can wait for the update to get installed and then reboot the handset to apply changes.
