In India, the Galaxy S23 series is finally getting a new software update. The update includes the June 2024 security patch.
Earlier, this update was causing battery problems, so Samsung stopped it in India. Now, it looks like they have fixed the issue. The update is rolling out with these versions for the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra S918BXXS5CXE7/S918BOXM5CXDE/S918BXXS5CXDE. This new version is newer than CXE4, so the battery problem might be fixed.
Just like all previous incremental updates, the update is meant to improve security and stability. We do not know if it includes any new features or other fixes. It is a good idea to wait a few days before installing the update to make sure there are no further issues.
If you haven’t received a notification yet, you can manually check for the update:
- Go to Settings.
- Tap on Software Update.
- Select Download and install.
Remember, like all other incremental updates, this one is also rolling out in phases and may take a few days to be available worldwide and on all devices.
If you haven’t received the update yet but want to install the firmware manually, we have a step-by-step guide to help you. If you have already updated your device to the latest security patch, share your experience in the comment section below, and we will be happy to read your comments.
