Apple starts pushing the iOS 16.4.1 (a) Security Response Update

A small update has been released by Apple developers for iPhone and iPad users and it comes in a new style. For iPhones, the new update is the iOS 16.4.1 (a) Security Response Update while for iPad, it is iPadOS 6.4.1 (a) Security Response. The two updates are the first updates for iPhones and iPads only containing security updates and minor changes. Further, Rapid Response Update is quite small and easy to install.

Changelog for the new update

When the update was first released for iPhone users, it came with an error when trying to install it. The error prompt said “iOS Security Response 16.4.1 (a) failed verification because you are no longer connected to the internet. However, this issue has since been fixed and users can easily install security response updates.

The Security Response update is also released for iPad 16.4.1 users as well as macOS 13.3.1 users. As for the build number, the iOS 16.4.1 (a) Security Response Update comes with the build number 20E77520a. The build number for security response would be listed with the main iOS 16.4.1 update, meaning you can find two build numbers when you check in iOS versions.
