Samsung has released the April 2021 security update to a bunch of its smartphones. Expanding the reach, the company has now added Galaxy S8 and S8+ smartphones to the April 2021 security patch list.
The latest build for Galaxy S8 and S8+ is currently rolling out in South Korea. It can be identified by firmware version G950NKSU5DUD1 for Galaxy S8, while the update for Galaxy S8+ carries firmware version G955NKSU5DUD1.
April 2021 security patch for Samsung phones fixes 30 critical vulnerabilities from Google and fixes 21 threats and CVEs from Samsung. If you’re a Galaxy S8 and S8+ user in South Korea and have not received the update yet, then check the status manually by navigating to Settings >> Software update.
