Samsung is quick to release monthly security updates and it’s the same this time around. The South Korean tech firm has been updating its portfolio including flagships, mid-range devices, and affordable handsets by releasing the August 2022 Security Patch Update.
Now, another handset has joined the list as Samsung Galaxy A02 has started receiving the August 2022 Security Update for users in the United States on the Verizon network. The update comes with many general bug fixes and device stability improvements. It will come but there is no official statement from the company yet.
Really? I really do not believe it is coming ever. See the A02 has been hidden on Samungs’ official site and you have to dig to find it. Plus the same goes for the community. Plus the A02S which has many of the same parts already got Android 12. Plus the M02 started getting Android 12 back in July. (My friend has one) Since the M02 is exactly the same device internally there should have been no excuse for Samsung to get it out by now. Instead. They hand out security patches to keep the masses quiet. Patches no other device needed to get Android 12. Now it is almost the End of October. 3 months after the promised update and 2 months away from the device being 2 years old and Samsung having an excuse not to support us. Contact them. I tried it. Got blocked and now have to go through government channels for fraudulent statements and false advertisements and misleading statements. I am just lettering the public be aware that the whole plan is very transparent as Samsung does this every couple of years.
