Galaxy S21 FE Receives December 2022 Security Update in the US

Samsung Releases December 2022 Security Update for Carrier-Locked Galaxy S21 FE in the US. Samsung has released a new security update for a number of its Galaxy devices, including the carrier-locked version of the Galaxy S21 FE.

The update, which carries firmware version G990USQS4DVL1, is currently available on Xfinity Mobile’s network in the US, and may be rolled out to other networks in the country.

The update brings the December 2022 security patch, which addresses 93 security vulnerabilities. If you have a carrier-locked version of the Galaxy S21 FE in the US, you can install the update by going to Settings » Software update and tapping “Download and install.” Alternatively, you can download the firmware from our firmware database and flash it manually.

The Galaxy S21 FE was launched earlier this year with Android 12 installed. It has already received the Android 13 update, and is eligible to receive three more Android OS updates in the future.
