Galaxy S21 series receives May 2024 security update

Samsung has released a new software update for its Galaxy S21 series, improving device security with the latest May 2024 security patch. It can be identified by checking for the One UI build version ending with GXDH.

The update addresses a total of 45 vulnerabilities, including 33 identified by Google, with 3 critical and 26 high-level CVEs. Additionally, it includes 25 Samsung-specific fixes, ensuring device security for users.

The update also enhances system security, optimizes stability, improves functionality, and resolves bugs. Samsung’s goal with this update is to deliver a better user experience.

The rollout of the May 2024 security update has already started in Europe, with other regions soon to follow.

How to Update

To check for the update, go to the device’s Settings, select Software Update, and then Download and Install. If you see the update available, install it now to benefit from the improved features.
