There have been several rumours regarding the future of Samsung’s Fan Edition series phones. A recent report suggests that the Fan Edition is coming back this year. With the absence of the S22FE from the lineup, fans of the series and members of the community believed that the Fan Edition line-up was now dead.
Fellow folks over at SamMobile have an insider tip that the lineup is far from dead and the series latest iteration, the Galaxy S23FE, will launch in the fourth quarter of 2023.
This year’s S23 lineup featured Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in all markets. However, for the S23 FE, Samsung is going back to yesteryear’s in-house Exynos 2022 in all markets. By the time S23FE’s launches, the Exynos 2200 will be almost 2 years old, and we hope Samsung will better optimise the processor. Along with the new Exynos chipset, the S23 FE main camera sensor will be upgraded from 12 MP to 50 MP.
Along with the new processor and camera, the S23 FE will retain 128GB or 256GB of storage options, 6GB or 8GB of RAM, and a 4500mAh battery with 25W fast charging, just like its predecessors.
There is no information regarding the design, build, or expected price of the device. Be sure to stay tuned for further updates.
