Honor 9A users are now receiving a new software update based on Magic UI 3.1. It brings the latest security patch released in March 2021 for improving system security.
March 2021 security patch for Honor phones fixes 2 critical CVEs, 13 high-level, and 132 medium-level CVEs (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures). This is a minor security patch update and does not bring any new features or changes to the interface. It can be identified by software version Magic UI 3.1.0.194 weighing 108MB in size.
The update is currently rolling out in Europe and will reach other regions pretty soon. Honor 9A users in Europe who have not received the update yet can manually check the status by navigating to Settings >> System & updates >> Software update >> Check for updates. Another method to get the latest update is through the Support App. For this, head to Support app >> Services >> Update >> Check for updates.
